Sweetness knockin' on your heart's door - Are you home?
fact: Since 1970, the populations of freshwater species has dropped by 50%. Freshwater habitats include rivers, springs, bogs, wetlands, estuaries, and floodplains.
act: It's ok, we didn't need mussels, salmon, turtles, or the thousands of other species of plants and marine life we're losing, right? WRONG. Trash, chemicals, and pollutants clog so many of the waterways that remain, while the rest lie under shopping malls and parking lots. Since sitting by and idly doing nothing to protect the habitats of the freshwater species has clearly been ineffective, it's time to begin treating our waterways with respect. For starters, be careful about the chemicals you pour down the drain, and don't waste water.
Wherever I go in the world, I find two basic types of people: Those who show up and ask, "What can I give here?" and those who show up and ask, "What can I get here?" Both types tend to believe and behave as if everyone is like them. (This can be quite painful for the former type.) Which are you...?
Finding myself in a playful mood at the grocery store the other day, on a child-like whim I decide to buy some Animal Crackers. I get them home and notice that, on the box, it says, "Do not eat if seal is broken." So, I look inside and find the cute giraffe to be fine, the tiger, fine...even the little octopus is unharmed... But, wouldn't you know it, then I see the seal and realize I have to throw the whole damn box away! ;-)
Thought you might appreciate a chuckle while reading through these ads...today's gift to YOU. (It would be a gift to me if you were to choose to pass it on with no expectation of receiving anything in return -- the gift, not the joke :-)
My experience has been that it actually matters little what words one finds here anyway, as meeting in person is so much more powerful: Then, there's either a spark, or there's not. I think some relationships are destined to happen and when you connect, some magic of the universe takes over and you know it. What do you think...?
