Founder, Designer, Company Conscience, Fashion Icon Please meet Fabrice: Fabrice graduated from Laval University with degrees in Communications, Graphic Design, 3-D for the Motion Picture Industry, and Awesomeness. He has designed a number of different websites, worked as an Art Director and Multi-media producer, and has created and designed various software. But don't let this fool you Ladies, Fabrice is also a snappy dresser who enjoys travelling and spending time outdoors. Because of Fabrice, the rest of the staff has had to spend more time thinking about important issues like the environment, society, self-improvement, and 'giving back to the community', and not enough about things that don't really matter. Fabrice's other pastimes include speaking French, shopping for puppies, and buying Westphalia vans. Founder, User Interface, Whiz Kid, Ramen peddler Kyle is a robot, and will be the first to admit it (but only because he hasn't been programmed to lie). By human standards, Kyle's career began at an early age, as a project manager for a multi-national software company, although as far as robots are concerned this was an embarrassingly late start. Since then, Kyle has completed projects for Nintendo, Canadian Epilepsy Foundation, and Imperia Media (among others), created the 'User Experience' portion of websites, and co-runs a virtual origami software company on top of his work at Kisscafe. Since robots don't sleep, Kyle has spent his spare time building a name for himself as a leader in the Vancouver dance music scene with what he calls, 'twisted minimal funk with big bottom bass', whatever that means. It's Kyle's lifelong robot mission to find a cure for allergies to stop Miranda from sniffling so much. Interests: Null |

Founder, Marketing Director, Vacation Director, Daily Dose of Sugar Much like an Oreo cookie, there are two sides to Pete: On the outside he is strong, stable, and trustworthy (have you ever met a cookie you didn't trust?). But once you get through his crunchy exterior, you 'll be greeted by Pete's soft and sweet center. In fact, Pete will tell you that the reason Kisscafe was created was to help him find the love he deserves. In addition to being Kisscafe's Director of Marketing, the ever-talented Pete also owns a vacation resort- an asset that the rest of the Kisscafe staff intends to shamelessly exploit at every opportunity. Pair Pete with a frosty glass of wholesome milk and you can never go wrong. Programmer, Dictionary, Translator, Jukebox If anyone needs something translated, Allan is their go-to man. But wait, if you think we're speaking merely of linguistic translation abilities, think again! Even though Allan can speak several languages (English, French, Chinese, Russian, German....the list goes on), he's also fluent in so-called 'computer speak' (including DBASE, Lisp, Java, and of course Python and Ruby) and can read, write, and play music. Just for fun, the Kisscafe staff has been plotting elaborate tasks to test Allan's superior translation abilities by making ridiculous requests like 'change this from Ruby to A minor and then back to Russian'. Writer, Trucker Mouth, Slurpee Addict, "the girl" Miranda's not exactly sure how she ended up working here. It seems that she just started showing up one day and has yet to leave. She's now in charge of taking long lunch breaks, writing down whatever other people tell her to, and keeping the office estrogen levels up. Miranda spends the time she's not working dreaming about ponies, trying to induce premature deafness by playing and listening to music that's way too loud, and driving her car to and from the repair shop. Without Miranda's work, putting Kisscafe together would probably have taken 6 years instead of 8. Mirandais an evil genius that uses seasonal allergies as her weapon of choice. Interests: General frolicking and merriment, Anything snappy, I enjoy spectating and I do an excellent job at it, bottom of the ocean, Monopoly, Clue, Guess Who ( I rule at this game!), Almost Famous, This is Spinal Tap, Wayne, Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World, Anything by Vonnegut, Sushi, coffee, long island iced teas, breakfast pizzas, A dog and a cat |
